change adapter setting - could not found any adapter
I'm using Win 7 ulitmate, I use it to browse internet and it works normally before. There is one time I disable the adapter (change adapter settings) and reboot the machine, the adapter cannot be found again! In the boardband connection, it prompt "cannot load the remote access connection manager service" and now, the machine cannot connect to the internet. since my machine had been partition and could run win xp also, it works well in xp condition so I quite sure it is not the network card problem!

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum. After checking this issue, I would like to know whether you can find the adapter in device manager. Currently, we can try using the Network Adapter troubleshooter to automatically find and fix some common problems: Open the Network Adapter troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click Network Adapter. What is the result? Meanwhile, please try Using Last Known Good Configuration to see how it works. If the issue persists, we could try system restore to get back to a previous time point which everything worked fine. Hope it helps. Alex Zhao TechNet Subscriber Support in forum. Advise you to check network adapter driver status, see whether it works well. If not, You could also reinstall network adapter driver, after that try again. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I'd tried the trouble shooting to fix the problem, however, it report as follow: The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running. I'd tried to repair as adminstrator, still not fix and the detail report is: The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running detected start the Diagnostics Policy Service not run network diagnostics cannot be run without the Diagnostics Policy Service I also reinstall my network card driver, still the same respond! How can I fix it?

Hihi, I used the "using last known good config" and now I could connect to the internet, however, in the notification area icon, it shown "no connection are available" It is already a minar problem since the most important thing is I could use interenet! Yet I still be grateful if the mini problem can be fixed! Thanks for all your helps!
