ccSvcHst.exe, is NOT a XP process, SvcHst.exe IS, but NOT ccSvcHst.exe. Norton MUST be missing SOMETHING. You either have a hacker or some sort of Bad code that either Norton does not know what it is, or cannot get rid of it. Does your Norton program support Malware, Spyware and Adware? Or just Viruses?Oh yes, and just for your information, XP cannot use ALL 4 gigs of RAM, it only supports 2.5 I THINK (Don't quote me on that) I'm going to go look that up now....Young and Learning... Thank You in Advance with Help of Know solution(s). Your assistance is Greatly Appreciated !!!The file you list is most often a process related to Norton 360. However, malware sometimes assumes the names of legitimate files with the intent to fool the end user. Norton is a known system hog and therefore I would not be surprised to learn that it is a legitimate file in your case. Nevertheless, I recommend you download, update and scan with both Malwarebytes and Superantispyware just to be sure. If the scans do not detect the file and the issue continues I would contact Norton and/or remove Norton being sure to use the uninstall tool to do so.Malwarebytes.orgSUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all.. I had same problem. After many attempts to fix I used the "one click support on Norton 360 and after about an hour and a half of online support from Norton, they upgraded me to version 4.0 and viola! The problem is fixed. Sorry it took me so long to do it now.
