Press the Compatibility Mode icon up by the address bar
If doesn't work, reset IE and repeat above step

Was the work website logged into successfully before ?Have you made any modifications to the machine or the Internet Explorer?What is the browser version you working with ?
Here is similar symptom for reference and it is resolved by the "Compatibility Mode " :

If it can be logged into before ,please try the following steps to have a check :
1.To verify whether it is caused by add-ons ,we can open the Internet Explorer 11 without add-ons to have a check .
To open the Internet Explorer 11 without add-ons :run iexplore.exe -extoff.
If it is caused by the add-ons ,we can enable the add-ons one by one to navigate the culprit.
2.If the issue persists ,reset the Internet Explorer 11 to get a original setting to have a check if it is possible.
Tools\ Internet Options \Advanced options \Reset
