cant figure out VPN on small network
You have to connect to your public IP address of your work place. 1. For this to work you have to setup VPN - if available on the sonicwall firewall 2. If you have VPN working on one of the server in the network then you need to open the appropriate ports on the firewall. Sravan

Hi, If you want to configure VPN in Windows Server, you can refer to: Virtual Private Networks Configure a Remote Access VPN Server In general, after VPN is connected successfully between your home network and your work network, you can run Remote Desktop Connection and type the IP address of your work computer. However, if it is only you want to connect to the work computer, I think Windows Live Mesh can make the connection more easily. Hope this helps. Ok so i have been trying to wrap my head around this for a few days now. So let me say sorry ahead of time for all the noob questions im going to ask because i think im thinking to much into this. I have a small network with three servers and i have this computer here that i have setup for vpn connection. so i can connect from home. i have a sonicwall firewall in place. i have check my antivirus for blocking and windows firewall. i have check sonicwall as well to make sure im not being blocked. all i want is to connect to this computer from my home network so i can do some work. so how do i connect to this computer for another windows 7 computer. (this computer is also running windows 7) i have vpn group setup in AD as well. what ip do i use? my ISP ip or this computer ip address or the sonicwall or the DNS server ip? thank you all for any help. sorry for the randomness
