Ditch the Nvidia network adapter. In fact ditch all the Nvidia drivers.I am currently using an old Linksys LN100 which is working flawlessly. At first I used whatever driver I could find that supported Nvidia, and it worked except for networking. Then things went wrong and kept getting BSOD's.So I reinstalled, and only used what Win 7 installed. Mostly generic drivers. I skiped the Nvidia network adapter(more later) and my score went from 2.6 to 3.1!!! nothing else was different. And it hasn't crashed yet! Yes, this is installed on an Nforce 2 platform. Only thing I had that I didn't want to trash.I did try the Nvidia Network adapter again. And found the newest driver in Win 7. Still didn't work...Save yourself some grief and dig out an old 3com, us robotics, linksys, whatever your flavor, pci adapter and start using this great software. You will need to install the drivers for the above adapters, and I did use win XP drivers as that was all I could find...Win 7 is just cruising on this old AMD 3000. and only using 40 to 50% of my memory(1G).

Its hard to ditch when its integrated into the motherboard. Mine is an MSI K7N2 Delta L with Nvidia nForce 2 chipset. Everything but the Ethernet installed fine. The Ethernet driver installed and failed to start with a code 10. I've not been able to find a substitute driver for the NIC, not even from Nvidia.
