I have w-7 rc on my laptop in a dual boot mode with Vista home prem. All has been working well, connected to my wireless N network no problems under and athome...here is the problem, I took it on the road this weekend and it would not connect to a public network, either in the hotel or at Jack in the Box (yeah, I have other issues) I tried both the wireless and wired in the hotel & all I got was "detecting proxy settings" same problem at JITB...nothing....reboot to Vista, no problems connected just fine....I am thinking it is not the drivers as it does connect fine in the home network and I got the same results wired or wireless. I don't think it is the device because again works fine at home & in Vista as well as getting the same results wired or wireless... So, what the heck it causing this?
