cant connect to networks on first startup W7
hey all, im unable to connect to my home network whenever i first switch on my pc. For some reason i have to restart before it will let me connect to anything. Is this a known issue with windows 7, or am i the only one experiencing this? also are there any fixes? cheers.

This is definitely a new one. When this first happens does anything show up in device manager as a problem? Did you install the driver from Windows update or from the manufacturer's site?

nope have went into device manage there are no problems with my NIC, i was originally using windows drivers and changed to the manufacturer in order to see if it solved the problem but no joy. If i go and disable and then re-enable the NIC it works fine afterwards. just abit of a pain to have to do it every time i start up.

I've been having this same problem since upgrading to Win7 Pro from XP and it's a frustrating problem. My Computer identifies two networks when it starts up, neither of which can connect to the internet, after deactivating and re-activating the adapter only one network is identified and it can connect through. I've tried removing one or both of the initial networks to no effect, the same problem happens. updating the 82566DM drivers causes the device to fail and requires a roll-back.
