Hi all,

Note that am facing this issue since 2 weeks ago, in which I have lync 2010 on my pc, and it was working since the beginning, than suddenly it stops working and give me this error "cannot sign in because the server is temporarily unavailable lync 2010" and the problem that my server is not here it's in Dubai, and after several qequests they told me to check my computer cause it is from it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Lync but the problem persists. The strange thing that some time it works alone and it goes online, and whenever I log off and restart my pc the next day will not work at all, and another thing that some computers Lync is working fine and everything normal

please advise!!

Thank you for your help!

Test telnet frontend pool on port 5061 ( internal) or if you are connecting external test telnet access edge URL on 443.

Enable client side logging to see the errors.

If you can hit the port Tek-Nerd mentioned look for a root cert error in the event viewer. If you see one update appropriately.

Hi hakimriad,

As Tek-Nerds suggestion, you may check the network connectivity first to ensure that this is not a network problem.

In addition, you may try using another Windows account while the issue occurs again, sometimes a corrupt Windows Profile can be the cause.

Eric

Hi

There is a law in Dubai that makes SIP illegal and their ISPs  Du etc sniff traffic and filter SIP out. It could be that they have updated their packet filter, or something is being blocked from your office in Dubai. try doing what the guys above have suggested, and then go back to your IT and say that you can confirm that it is not your client at fault.

thanks
