cannot set a resrore point i windows 7 ultimate
When trying to set a restore point in Windows 7 Ultimate Nothing happens and eventually a TIME OUT message appears. C drive is set as active to be used as restore drive and space set at 27Gbts. Computer is 1 month olr and seems to have never set a restore point Can anyone help

You didn't provide the specifics about the hardware. manufacturer and OS. Has the manufacturer provided an OEM application on top of the Windows function? (Like Sony) Since it is 1 month old, I suggest that you contact the manufacturer's support under the warranty. You paid for it. Windows Update should have created restore points. Something is wrong with the system files if creating restore points isn't working. You should not have this issue on a 1 month old computer. If you wish to troubleshoot it, run the system file checker as in this thread: Cannot create a Restore Point. However, I would exhaust the manfacturer's resources first as you do not want to void the warranty.
