cannot get workgroup to work on either computers
I have a laptop and a desktop both running windows 7, laptop running home premium and desktop professional. I have followed all procedures that I have found relating to workgroups setup. The computers tell me that I am connected to network and that they are part of homegroup and they have joined homegroup but when trying to access one or the other I get no box telling me to enter the homegroup password, I never saw a box where I could tell it to join, they seemed to be just there. I would really like to be able to share files between the two computers but so far, it is not happening. Can someone help?
