cannot get file on desktop to open
I have, somehow, screwed up the folders on my desktop and cannot open them. When I double click on the folder the "folder rack" icon shows up on the bottom tool bar but I cannot get the folder to open. When I click on the rack I get a ghost that travels from the bottom of the screen to the right side. It seems to expand when it travels and then disappears. I can place my cursor on the icon and see what is open in there but cannot get it to open on my screen.HelP - I have been through all the help menus and chats but haven't seen this problem.

It sounds like the window is actually opening up off-screen.There's a way to get it back with the keyboard. Try this:1. Open the folder, as you have been doing, to where you see the animation "fly" off the screen.2. On the keyboard hold down the Alt key and press the space bar once. Let up the Alt key.3. Press the M key.4. Press an arrow key (e.g., the left arrow).5. Now (without clicking any button) move the mouse to make the window appear on the screen.Hope this helps!-Noel

Hurray!. Thanks to Google and you I now have my folders back on the desktop. It was so frustrating to see them go flying by off to the right.
