cannot connect to workgroup computers using windows 7 home
new laptop running windows 7 home premium. brought to work, plugged into work network cable, networked with all other computers ie servers, xp, printer, worked all day. came back the next day plugged in network cable, called it "unidentified network" could not connect to the internet or any other computers. system settings are workgroup- i have changed the name and rechanged the name. switched off ipv6 network sharing is on I have tried every possible suggestion but cannot get it to work. When i connect through wireless to work, i am also limited to only being able to see only vista and no xp machines, printers or servers. does anyone know what is going on?

Hi, You may kindly refer to the following steps: 1. Update your network adapter’s driver to latest version. 2. Change your network adapter’s MAC address to have a try. 3. Check whether the wired cable is too long. 4. Uninstall the adapter, then try to reinstall it.
