Hi, I'm afraid the description of your problem is a bit unclear. As I understand it you wish to set your laptop us as an access point for internet connection sharing and you want to use this ad hoc wireless network to connect to the internet using your phone. When you try to connect with your nokia you don't get any connection and haven't gotten an IP address and cannot connect to your DHCP server. Have I read that right? Have you enabled internet connection sharing? You may try this link if not. Let us know how you get on. Or if you do not get the problem solved can you post some more information? The thing is, its not your laptop that would serve as a DHCP server, but your ISP.so to obtain approproate tcp/ip settings to connect to the internet, follow Cathal's link and activate ICS(internet connection sharing) if you try to create an ad-hoc connection to your laptop, like i see you'v been trying to do, that should be just for file transfer between yourlaptop and phone and to even be sucessful with that, you had better use manual Ip address assignment. But for your internet need, ICS is the way to go.Tunde Abagun MCP,MCSA,MCTS,MCITP en p "for the love of Computers"
