2 Machines, 08R2 and Win7.Same subnet, both my 08R2 and win7 machines are in it.I created created a incoming connection on win7 to work as a VPN server.08 R2 worked as a client. I created a VPN connection to connect to the Win7 machine.All works fine. VPN can connect.My problem is, when the 08R2 made the VPN to win7, all the Internet connection was gone. If i disconnected the VPN, Internet connection was fine.I use route print on the 08R2, and saw a new DG route was added and the matric was higher than the original one. I think it should be the root cause for my issue.How to enable my Internet connection and still allow the VPN connected?thanks!

in the VPN connect settings look for "use remote gateway" that is what is "killing" the inetyou need to use your local gateway

Yes Bubbapcguy, I have heard it before. But I cannot find the option in VPN connection properties under 08R2. There are 4 tabs: General, Options, Secuirty, Network. But I cannot find the option you metioned.

Hi, I would like to suggest you perform the following steps to disable "Use default gateway on remote network". 1. Click the Network icon on the system tray. 2. Right click VPN Connection and click Properties. 3. Switch to Networking tab. 4. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties. 5. Click Advanced tab and uncheck Use default gateway on remote network. 6. Click OK to check the issue. Does it work?Arthur Li - MSFT
