can I configure Vista to automatically connect to the wireless network with the best signal?
Hi I have two wireless networks available - the second effectively extends the range of the first. Can I configure Vista Home Basic to connect to the network with the best signal strength - the signal strength obviously varies depending on where the PC is relative to the two access points. thanks for your help! Bill

Hi Bill, That depends on the wireless card driver. Usually, it can detect and connect to the strongest one. You can go to the wireless card manufacture's website to check if there is such function or any firmware update. I changed the "roaming" parameters on my wireless card and set both networks to connect automatically with no preference in Network and Sharing Center. many thanks Bill
