can't see previous versions on network drives in Windows 7 RC
Hi Using Win 7RC for 2 months already and got a problem with the "previous version" option. When browsing my shared folders on the 2003 server I can't find any previous version to any file. It keeps saying that there are no previous versions. When checked from Vista and XP it's working of course. Any solution? Udi.

Are the computers in domain or workgroup? Is the user account you use to access the Windows Server 2003 computer has administrator privilege?Arthur Xie - MSFT

All computers are in Domain. I checked with the same user from winXP, Vista and 7. worked fine from XP and Vista. Doesn't work from 7.

Hi Udi, Sorry for this long-time delay. Is the issue resolved? If we need to continuing troubleshooting, please download Network Monitor and capture a log during the process. You may refer this article to use Network Monitor. Please do: 1. Start capture 2. Access the computer from network. 3. Query Previous Versions. 4. Stop capture. Then send us the log into SkyDrive of your Live Space. Please give us the direct link. Thanks Arthur Xie - MSFT

Hi Arthur, Actually it just started to work from the Windows 7 RC version after it didn't work. It worked from all other Windows versions. Maybe there was a Windows 7 update that solve the issue but I can't put my finger on what made it to work. Quiet strange.___________________ Udi Burg www.unisfair.com
