Have you changed your BIOS boot order since installing Windows? Are you switching drives? Example: If you have different physical drives and did a setup for a dualboot Vista (old) / Windows 7 (new), then your bootfiles are on the Vista drive. If you boot (from BIOS) into the Windows 7 drive, there are no bootfiles, and you get the above error.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)

maggot66, You should be able to correct this problem by inserting your Windows 7 install DVD and performing an automatic repair, which should be able to replace the boot manager. If you have a working boot environment and are trying to configure the boot loader, a free utility called EasyBCD can also reinstall a clean version.-Alex
