when i boot up it says windows bootmanager is missing im using windows 7 tried some of the stuff used for vista but no luck

Have you changed your BIOS boot order since installing Windows? Are you switching drives? Example: If you have different physical drives and did a setup for a dualboot Vista (old) / Windows 7 (new), then your bootfiles are on the Vista drive. maggot66, You should be able to correct this problem by inserting your Windows 7 install DVD and performing an automatic repair, which should be able to replace the boot manager. If you have a working boot environment and are trying to configure the boot loader, a free utility called EasyBCD can also reinstall a clean version.-Alex
