when booting up rc7 when it comes to showing desktop the magnifiyer is enabled and it shows desktop at 200% enlarged.When I close out magnifiyer it goes to desktop but all icons and side bar items are unorganized and on top of each other?any advice on how to fix this would be appriciated.

Not too sure what you mean by the above, if you could attach a image, that would helps! But then you could try the following by right clicking on the taskbar and choose properties, under taskbar location on screen, there's an option for placing the taskbar on either top, bottom, left or right. As for organising desktop icon, you could right click desktop>personalize>change desktop iconsHope the above helps!

if i shut down pc properly when its powered on and boots up to desktop it comes up magnified and icons are all over the place unlike it was when i shut pc down.

Bubba - You can go into MSConfig and remove the Magnifier app from the start-up list. Or, you can put the magnifier in a different mode such as "Full Screen" or "Lens" - either one will not force docking to the stop of the screen and mess with your icons.
