blue screen love windows 7
i have been getting blue screen errors frequently today. The blue screens have only been happening recently (within the past week), but I don't recall installing any new software/drivers... so this may just all be due to "overuse" of the comp, but I hope not...anyways, I've got some information, hopefully someone can help with this problem. I've looked into updating the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (because on the blue screen that iastorV.sys file came up), but it didn't want to update because my "minimum requirements not met.." anyways, I would love the help if possible - thank you, Mark I load the dmp file into windows debugging program...is this the only way to view this type file?? anyways...here's some info i get.. Big, Did you install the driver of your hardware vendor or the intel site? (I recommend first to install the driver from you hardware vendor and then the intel site.) Did you have windows 7 SP1 installed and do you have a 32bit or 64bit system? more info about the 7E Bug Check code is here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559239(v=VS.85).aspx Kind regards DFTIM me - TWiTTer: @DFTER

Your BSOD was caused by iaStorV.sys driver. Click on iaStorV (in blue) to get more information about it. Please update it or uninstall it you don't need it. I think this is an intel driver but I am not sure. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. looks like the best move for me to make is to remove iastorV.sys - any insight as to how I can do this? Is it a process that I can disable? I'm just not sure exactly how to remove/uninstall a .sys file without screwing something up. Thank you, Mark

Hi Mark, According to this: Intel Matrix Storage Manager: iaStor.sys vs iaStorV.sys. It's for Intel's ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R Sata RAID Controller. It seems the latest driver is here: Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager. If it doesn't work, contact the Intel for the latest driver.
