Bug Check 0x1E: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557408%28VS.85%29.aspx To see the cause I have to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows. Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your public Skydrive [1] folder and post a link here. Thanks for the reply. However, the OS hangs on the welcome page itself and again goes back to the mode of booting option. Hey,I forgot to add on a thing. After the hexadecimal error,it also gives the message as:'dumping physical memory to disk' Does this error give a clearer picture about what the problem might be?

'dumping physical memory to disk' measn that Windows creates a dump file which can be opened with a Debugger to see the cause. Can you start in safe mode to get the dumps?"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
