bit locker on new PC
I recently had to do a fresh install on my PC. When i connected my external HDD that was encrypted with bitlocker it would not let me put in my password to unlock the HDD. I do not have the recovery key any longer but when i try to unlock it will only give me the option to use the recover key and not my password. how can i get around this so i can get to my work files?

i did read through this but none of these help me. I do not have recovery key or recovery package. the file location was on my C: drive before windows crashed and no longer have it. without these i can not use this option. is there any other approach i can take to try and recover my data? as stated above i only have my HDD password i created but this is not the recovery key. just the one i typed in every time i connected it to my PC.
