use router which meet your requirements for local/home network, also which is supported by yourISP and can handle your connection type (ask your ISP, they should recommend some routers), and by sure that the router has windows vista HV compatible logo. druid

There is not a "best" router per se. There are routers best suited for different situations. If you need greater wireless range, then you'll need a different type of router than if you don't, etc. You need to find one that best suits your environment.
