base core on Win 7
Help me understand more about how the scoring profile in Win 7?Rain_hv

What's there to understand? Each sub-component (processor, memory, hard drive, video) are given individual performance ratings, and your overall score is the lowest rating. This is meant to indicate your Windows Experience, because the higher the base score, the better Windows will perform on your pc. But if you have high memory and cpu scores, for example, but you have a low Aero score, this does not mean that your pc is slow. It just means that Windows Aero won't be absolutely the best. Nothing too much to worry about. So, in summary, all the scores are important except the Aero performance one, for the purposes of general computing. Even some of the very best graphics cards score low on this one, so I don't take too much notice of it.
