Hi

I recently installed windows 8.1 updated to the latest version.

after this, i am having trouble with my laptop.

What happens is, if i do not use my laptop for 5 minutes, it gets logged off automatically. I checked the logoff time in setting. It is set to 1 hour. Still it gets logged off.

I also checked windows log events. It shows "Audit Success", event 4672, special logon

event 4624, Logon

event 4634, Logoff

If i keep working on my PC, it works fine. BUT, its very annoying.

Please help.

Do you have a screensaver activated that will apply after five minutes?
It could be that it is configured to require a password...

Is this a domain environment? Have you checked the power configurations? Have you configured the screensaver as Andreas Molin posted?

We could try the other power plan configurations to have a check.
If the issue persists, please run the built-in power tool to have a diagnostic.
