Your problem is not enough clear. I recommand to you to download and install the System Update Readiness. This is Microsoft link from where you can download it (Choose the one for Vista): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 Download and run the tool, it will say that it's "installing"...it's actually running the readiness scan at this time so you should let the installation run to completion. The KB article says it will appear to hang at 60% completion and I've observed this as well. Just be patient and let it finish. After the install is finished, check if your problem is solved or not. If not, please paste here the 40-50 lines of windowsupdate.log file. Best regards.

Hi, From your description, the update KB2092914 failed through automatic update. If I misunderstood, please correct me. Did you received any error message? What about other updates? Are they installed? At this point, I would suggest manually download and install it. Please download it here. Meanwhile, please also refer to KB artical Error code "0x80070646," "646," or "1606" when you try to install Office updates and see if it applies to your situation. For further troubleshootings, please post back. Thank you for your time. Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
