audio problem
I have windows XP, my friend has a brand new computer with windows 7. I can see and hear everybody without any problem, in messenger, skipe, etc, but when I connect with this friend I can see and hear him Ok but with some echoes! He can see me but can not hear me at all. I have done all the tests available and everything checked all right! At the top underneath of the messenger icons a message keep flashing: "The connection is very low, which may affect video quality" but it does not change anything ever! Any idea anyone?? Thanks!!!

HiWithout knowing something about your friends system, it would be difficult to troubleshoot this. It could be a known issue, depending on what hardware/software he is using. You might want to recommend that he check to make sure he has all of the latest drivers for the installed hardware. The same applies to the installed software, make sure that he is using the latest versions and has installed any Windows 7 compatibility updates.Using a beta product that is still in the early development stages is always a matter of just trying to identify the things that do not work and reporting them to the developers.Hope this helps. I'm temporarily away from my main system but I did have this "problem", it's more of a design choice. I can't verify anything I say, so I'm only hoping I can point you in the right direction:In his recording devices-microphone -listen-tab, setup, can he uncheck a little box that says "listen to this device", then click "apply"? I think it was so a person can hear their own mike but it messed up messenger.
