app-store-import-exception / Event 6500 / Delta Import cannot be run as the change log has been detected to be in a corrupted state

Hi

After removing a few attributes and bindings from the FIM Service, I am no longer able to perform Delta Imports on the FIM MA.

When i do Delta Imports I get app-store-import-exception and the Application log shows Event 6500 and the log entry contains the error description "Delta Import cannot be run as the change log has been detected to be in a corrupted state"

The deleted attributes were removed from any filter permissions and MPRs prior to deletion from the FIM Schema. Afterwards I did a schema refresh with the MA.

The attributes were never synchronized with the Metaverse.

Full imports works without any problems, by delta imports fails with the error as described above.

We are running FIM 2010 R2 build 4.1.3451.0.

Anybody knows how to fix the problem and/or recover from the change log corruption? I assumed that running a Full Import would reset any change log, but this is apparently not the case.

Best regards

Hello,

Did you do a "refresh schema" on your FIM MA?

Hi Sylvain

Yes - and the attributes in question seems to be removed from the MA.

I also tried restarting FIM Service, FIM Sync Service, and the SQL Server services for that matter.

Still no luck.

Check this out.  Apparently someone had the same issue and provided a solution.

Hi

The problem as explained in the link covers an issue with running Full Import (on a SQL MA) not Delta Imports. In my case Full Imports runs without problems, only Delta Imports fails. I assume it might be related to something with the actual FIM Service when extracting changes since last Full or Delta Import.

Just an update...

Problems seems to have fixed itself somehow.

Suddenly I am able to do Delta Imports om the FIM MA, which I've been unable to do the last few days.

There must be some internal housekeeping or maintenance jobs that has fixed it for me.

Even though I am happy to get rid of the problem, I feel a bit uneasy about not being able to identify the actual problem.

Thanks for your efforts anyway.

Best regards
