hi I have the 64 bit version of the beta installed and I tried kapersky anti virus which seemed to install and run ok but was heavy on its connections and annoying on the number of messages displayed. I decided to uninstall that and install norton which seems a far better program but when activated only gives me a 14 day license which is not much good for a beta windows7 lasting till the summer. My question is what are your experiences with avg and will the trial last a decent length of time.By the way the support option in the norton software does not seem to work.

Ttry Avast free 4 Home.I have it in Windows 7 32bit, with no problems. It worked well in XP, Vista, and now 7. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Avast Anti-Virus is XP and Vista compatible (32bit and 64bit Versions), FREE, auto-updating, and a low resources user of your computer. You get it for 2 months demo, then register, and they send you a Key to insert for 12 months.

Currently using the new Avast Windows Home Server with the Avast Pro for 3 client computers ( 2 running the window 7 beta build 7000 and 1 running Windows Vista Ulta) and all seems to be working very well. Can control all remotely from the WHS.I had to find a replacement for windows Live OneCare which is not supported in Windows 7.exp

I have the impression that most of the posters (with bothquestions & answers) do not read the experiences of the users that already posted way before them.Good luck to you all !

HiI started this thread and I have now decided to keep the norton 260 pre release trial working as it seems ok to me.I have also found that the 14 days trial subscription can be extended by clicking on the renew subscription tab, It then renews and gives you another 14 days.malc

ESET has a beta that is free to test and should last through the Win 7 testing. It works fine on the 64 bit Win 7.
