Thanks a lot! Hi ChessmanWindows XP SP3 and later OSs can READ the drive (ifyou have the key) but they cannot write to it. So you can recover the data on that drive in XP.Go ot the following article:How to use the BitLocker Recovery Password Viewer for Active Directory Users and Computers tool to view recovery passwords for Windows Vista Scroll down to the "How to obtain the BitLocker Recovery Password Viewer tool for Windows Vista" section for the details and instructions.More helpful links here:Everything You Need To Know About BitLockerHope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

Hello all,BitLocker to Go is available only with Windows 7 But BitLocker to Go creates the necessary files bitlockertogo.exe on the flash disk, sd card, etc.And when you attach the removable media to a Windows XP computer it will request for the password to read the contents of the file. But Windows XP computers can not write on BitLocker to Go encrypted drives. Please refer to my notes on New Windows 7 BitLocker Tool (BitLocker to Go) and BitLocker Password RecoveryEralper http://www.kodyaz.comhttp://www.eralper.com
