alockout.dll and Windows 7 x64
Hi there,
more and more users in our environment use Windows 7 x64 Enterprise.
Sometimes users complain that their account gets locked often. By researching this we sometimes find out that their local computer is the reason.
Under XP we have the option to use alockout.dll to generate a logfile which tells us the application which is respnsible for the lockout.
Is the such a dll for Winwows 7 (espacially x64)? Please do not give those tipps like "look for maped network drives" or " look for services that run under user context". It's not that easy. I'm talking about that situations where you just can't find anything
obvious on the local computer; just the log entry on the dc that the local maschine sent the wrong password.
Thanks,
Stephan

Hi,
Based on my knowledge, alockout.dll is a part of Account Lockout and Management Tools, you could download it from the following website.

Thanks for understanding.

Hi,
you are right, but this tools are from 2003 and this dll is not compatible to Windows 7 (both 32bit and 64bit).
Other tools work, but not this dll.

Hi, I am having the same issue and am looking for the equivalent of alockout.dll for win 7 x64. Trying to troubleshoot a difficult lockout issue that I cannot seem to find the program/service that is responsible for passing old/bad password.

Same problem here! Is there another way to know which process is doing the locking?
Thanx

Hi,
Any news on that? I could really use alockout.dll for Win7 x32 or something similar.
