all of a sudden when i try to download , i;m told i have to get an administrator to do it, ive never put one on this computer  i just have user
i do not have an administrative user on this computer. i never put one on it, but have been using it without since ive had it.all of a sudden, when i want to download an update, or other things, it tells me i need to have administrator do it. i cant find how to put admin. acct on it. it just takes me to user acct and wonlt let me add administrative acct1 person needs an answerI do too

Your first step is to determine whether your user account has administrator privilege. The easiest way to do this is to right-click on the "Start" button in the tray. If one of the choices that pops up is "Open All Users", then you have administrator privilege. If you determine that do not have administrator privilege, then boot into Safe Mode (press F8 while starting up then select "Safe Mode") which should reveal the built-in Administrator account. Log in as this administrator (the password is usually blank) and then create another user that has administrative privilege.HTH, JW
