after running sfc/scannow
after running sfc/scannow i get this message what does this mean ?"WINDOWS FILE PROTECTION COULD NOT INITIATE A SCAN OF PROTECTED SYSTEM FILES.""THE SPECIFIC ERROR CODE IS 0X000006BA [ THE RPC SERVER IS UNAVAILABLE.].1 person needs an answerI do too

Have you followed all the steps in the Microsoft article? Have you checked to see if the RPC service is started on your computer? To check this, go to Start -» Run -» and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Scroll down to the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service (NOT the one that says "Locator") and check to see if it's started. If it's not, right click on it and select "Start" Then try the SFC.EXE /SCANNOW command to see if it works. Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all.. SFCDisable is not a folder. It is a string located in the right pane as opposed the left pane where the folders are. After you click on the Winlogon folder, SFCDisable appears in the right pane. This issue is obviously related to the registry. The question is what is the culprit behind it. Let's first make sure you do not have some form of malware causing this. Download, update and choose a quick scan with Malwarebytes. This program is completely free. After the scan completes, a log file will be created displaying the results. Copy and paste the log file in your reply. Thanks, Joel Malwarebytes.org Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all.. You will need access to another computer to accomplish this unless you can access the internet using safe mode with networking. The most viable option here is to create a bootable cd to scan your computer. Bitfinder has a system_recover software that you can use. Unless you have software that will burn ISO images you will need to download a program to do that. This is not a hard process even among the technical jargon. First, download the ISO image from the first link below and save it to your desktop for easy access. Next, download CDburnerXP from the second link below. During the installation of CD burner, make sure you place a check in the box to associate ISO files with CDBurnerXP. Once all downloads are complete, click on the Bitfinder ISO icon you saved to the desktop. CDBurnerXP will automatically open and give you the option to burn the ISO image to a disk. You must use a blank disk for this. Flash drives will not work and if there is anything else on the disk it will not work as well. After burning the ISO image to the disk, take the disk to the infected computer, insert it and wait for the option screen to appear. The scan will begin automatically. If there is an internet connection available it will update.. I am going to ask you to try it again. The rescue disc contains a linux operating system and has no dependency on windows whatsoever. It runs strictly from the disc.Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all.. Please visit my website @ http://repairbotsonline.weebly.com/

first off i'm by no means swauve at this, but i did start the c.d. it seems to have ran but it didn't require me to do anything (is that how it should do)? so after it did what it did i started normally and it returned back to the blank screen p.s. it never asked me to run the second down load

Choosing option 1, to run in English, is the proper choice. The disc is obviously loading otherwise you would not receive the option menu but the scan should ensue. I cannot answer why this is occurring. Please follow the instructions in my above post to repair windows using the xp installation disc.
