after office professional 2010 was installed, werfault.exe showed up on every boot with various error msgs.
I have tried reinstall office professional 2010 a few times on my windows 7 home edition i7 8Gb RAM 500 Gb disk new laptop. Werfault.exe showed up on every boot with various error messages coupled with certain memory location couldn't be writable. When I was editing in Word for example, and tried to print, werfault.exe and splwow64.exe showed up. However, I still could print the document. If I uninstall office professional, no werfault.exe error reported. Is there a way to make office professional to behave a bit proper? The frequency of werfault.exe pop up seems to increase as days go by. I could uninstall and reinstall office profession 2010 to keep the annoyance down or switch to openoffice. Thanks in advance for any pointer to get this fix. jl

For me Office 2010 doesn't show this issues. Check your HDD/RAM for errors."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Follow these instructions. You can access settings for Windows Error Reporting here: Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions > Change settings > Advanced settings From here you can turn the feature on and off. I recommend selecting "Automatically check for solutions" as your system setting. Then, if for some reason you have programs you do not wish to have report, there is a block list you can use to add any executable that should not send problem reports
