Dear all,
After Lync CU is installed to Lync 2013 Frontend, I am then instructed to run "Install-CsDatabase" commandlet on SQL Server(Lync Backend) .
If I igonore runinng Install-CsDatabase on SQL Server, will CU update process totally fail?

no, but as an example:
With the december update for Lync server the parameter enableskypeui was added. If you don't run this command you will never see this parameter on the client policy!
you should run the command always after you apply a cu.
