For an example trying to log into a website with a username/pass there is no way of clicking in the space provided for the name/pass, videos will not work, and sometimes when i click a box it does nothing. when i go to hotmail.com absolutley nothing appears just a blank white screen.i have tried downloading a new adobe flash player, and a newer IE please help!! thanks1 person needs an answerI do too

Doing a System Restore to remove a virus is not a good idea. And now you know why. Back up your data and do a clean install of Windows. http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - Clean Install How-To http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Reinstalling_Windows - What you will need on-hand MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Read me First then decide if answers apply to your situation. Read/Think/Read/Think some more/Then one step at a time and learn. This answer is for a single pc user only. If you did a non-destructive restore and had ie8 loaded prior to the restoreyou may have problems. Reading and contacting various applications vendors stated that MS has made it almost impossible to remove ie8 and if you try to revert back to ie7 you will have problems. If you did a destructive restore then you have a long row to hole. I have done several non-destructive restore and some of these itemsmay apply to a destructiverestore. I do not promise anything but here are what I did and I have a HP 754n XP Home Edition.Non-destructive restore - Things to do afterwards.1. I have found that in most cases you have to reloadSP3 or the version you were usingon to your pc. So reload it and reboot. 2. MS has a product that I found and what it does is remove all versions of Net.Framework (which may be causing your problem). Once this program completes reboot your pc. Then reinstall your pc orginal version of Net.Framework most likely 1.1 andreboot (Depening on what PC you have there might be an option to reload your Net.Framework from the application restore option). Remember to reboot after each new version of Net.Framework is installed. Now,try using your ie product. You may have to reset your pc access to MS update and when you do it will start loading the various updates id you are connect to the web and it is working. Not sure but IE8 may need SP3 and 2.0 Net.Framwork to work. 3. You will find that most of your applications will not function and you cannot use the individual uninstall or Windows Add/Delete program to uninstall these applications. I used a product called Total Uninstall 5.4.2 (Trail Version for 30 days) it has the file option like explorer so you can go to the various install points and uninstall your uninstallable programs. Use this product carefully and at your own risk. What may have worked for me and my situation may not work for you. 4. Once you have SP3 or higher loaded and working, as well asa working Net.Framework version that allows your ie to work, you can start reloading your applications. If you made a backup of the system it may contains the virus you were getting rid of, so I would not use it. 5. If you did a destructive restore thenyou need to let your pc get up todate with MS and vendor fixes and reinstall your applications and make sure you are back up to running speed. SP? and ? Net.Framework are were they were before the restore. Rememberhow fast all this happen depends on the i/o of your entire system. Example: If system operates at speed of light and the disk speed works at halfspeed then the system works at half speed. This items arefrom trial and error, but especially time. This reply may or may not help since each system, pc work differently. It could take up to a week to get back to were things were.
