administrator password
I am trying to log into my dell desktop (Windows XP sytem). It is bringing up the log in screen with the user name as "Administrator" but I have forgotten the password for this account and it will not let me just hit enter to log in. Is there a way to reset the password? or log in a different way?1 person needs an answerI do too

Try to use guess method and guess and type password that you might use using caps lock and without it.In this forum we could NOT address cracking or reset password.But you might been create password reset disk during setup password or you may setup hint.

Is there a way to reset the password? or log in a different way?There is no need to crack the password. Reboot your computer in safe mode. When prompted to choose an account choose the administrator account. Once logged on navigate to Useraccounts > click on the account of the forgotten password and choose to delete the password. This method will work unless the account with the forgotten password is the default admin account. Remember, however, just because your account had admin privileges does not make it the default admin account.I don't vote for myself I'm not here for the points. If this post helps you, vote. You can use some Windows password Recovery Tool to reset XP administrator password :1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows Password recovery tool 3.0 and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.2. Get out the newly created CD/USB and insert it to the locked computer.3. re-booted the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions.
