acquiring IP for audio codes 420 hd

Hi,

I have configured audio codes 420hd phone at one of my client . The day I have received the phone was working fine with existing firmware version . But searching lync enabled users feature is not available . So we had decided to install latest firmware version (UC420HD_2.0.1.1.130)for 420hd phone . But after installing the firmware version , phone was unable to acquire IP from dhcp server and still phone is hanging and displaying that acquiring IP . Now unable to login to phone also . Please help me to sort it out.

Thanks in advance .

Audio Codes 420 HD is not the supported phones can run Lync Phone Edition.

Searching corporate address book feature is not available.

The 440HD includes a dedicated LCD screen displaying Lync contacts and their presence.

As your problem is related with the product itself, I recommend that you consult the Audio Codes support engineer.

Hi,

Today I installed a new firmware for 420 HD which includes Address Book feature.

Model Name: 420HD
Firmware Version: UC_2.0.3.16
Release Date:  2014-01-26_17:29:08

Now in Configuration->Contacts we can choose between Lync Contacts or LDAP.

I am currently experiencing this issue of being unable to acquire an IP address, did you manage to find a solution to this in the end?

Thanks

Since I was messing with this as well. I found I couldn't get an IP address because of LLDP. I disabled LLDP on the port that the phone was connecting to and presto, it pulled an IP from my DHCP server. Hope this helps. The phone I was working with was a 440HD but I'm sure same concepts apply.
