__MCP revisited
Nice to see chat regarding Microsoft Client Protection. Didn't see where advisability to continue with program was mentioned. Is it worthy to be left alone or should it be removed? I recently received a non-functioning Dell 4700 and during the re-installs, may have included this as one of the downloads. I received the same notification re: Defender and after some of the posts, do not wish to install that. However, what about MCP? Stay or go.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi1. Which anti-virus software is installed on your machine?2. What is the exact notification message you get when you try to install Windows defender? It seems like you have Microsoft Live OneCare or Microsoft Security Essentials. Both of those will not permit you to install Windows Defender since they already have antispyware components.Similar issues have been discussed here:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpsecurity/thread/255eeb4c-cf59-41d2-aaae-908135d8b303http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpsecurity/thread/2a38d250-dfda-4e73-b5e8-ff5d8c41cdf5Azeez Nadeem - Microsoft Support[If this post was helpful, please click the "Vote as Helpful" (green triangle) button.
