Your Folder Can't be shared - error message in Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit
I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit (Computer A). The computer is part of a homegroup with another Win 7 computer running Home Premium 64 bit (Computer B). Computer B has the selected folders shared. They are visible to Computer A with read/write access. When I try to share a folder (for example, Documents) on Computer A, I get message "Your Folder Can't be shared". I right clicked on the folder name, selected Properties, then the Sharing Tab then I select Share - select Homegroup Read/write. When I click on the SHARE button, it runs for a short while 10-15 seconds then ends with an error: Your folder can't be shared.

Hello Please make sure if File and Printer sharing is checked on the network connections. Network and Sharing Center -> Click the current connection -> Status -> Properties Make sure that "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" is checked. If that doesn't work try this http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/your-folder-cant-be-shared-error-in-win-7-home-64/500ef174-da97-441e-abc6-bfd079d37f7c
