Xbox 360 MCE disconnections
Hello,
I'm using the 360 as a mecia center extender to stream from my win-7 (x64) PC. When I sit down to watch, I am plagued by constant disconnections from the PC for the first 5-7 minutes. It is common that I cannot even get through the folder navigation
to the file I want to play. Eventually, after 5-8 attempts, it "settles down" and performs just fine, allowing me to play hours of video with no problems.
I have no clue where to start - is it my PC? is it my network? the Xbox?
I found a network connection that failed intermittantly when I wiggled it, replaced the connection and that's when it "settled down" but is still giving me grief.
My network path is from the PC, to a D-Link DES-3224+ switch, from the switch I have a cable going into a wall plate. The cable runs through the wall/attic to the living-room to another wall plate, where a cable plugs into the Xbox. At this point,
I have verified all connections to be good.
Any ideas?

Hi,
How did you find the network connection failed? Did you get some error message when the connection failed?
Currently, we can try the following steps to check the result:
1.
Updated the network driver to the latest.
2.
You can try to determine where the problem is occurring by connecting your Xbox 360 directly to your Windows Media Center computer by using a regular Ethernet cable.
3.
If it is possible, change another switch or router for test.

Hope it helps.
