XP workstations periodically losing access to network resources, require logoff, login
Recently, I have three Windows XP workstations that are periodically being logged off, or losing their rights to network resources. We have about 50 workstations at our main office with one local 2003 domain controller running SQL, DNS and WINS. In addition, we have a 2003 Terminal/ISA 2004 server running DNS as well... and a remote office 2003 server running as a scondary domain controller with ISA 2004, DNS and WINS. Only three workstaitons hare are having this issue, approximately twice a day. Suddenly their firewall client icon gets a red X, and they cannot get online. They may lose access to the SQL server, network printers and shares. Logging off and logging back in eliminates all issues for a while. Their network adapters are set not to be turned off to save power. I have moved their connections to different network switches, used different cables, and even different wall/patch panel jacks. I don't know if it is a firewall client/server issue, a network issue, or a workstation or user account issue. Thel workstations are on opposite ends of the building and have very little in common.Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.1 person got this answerI do too

That's the best place for your question since you're on a domain and the issue is with accessing resources on a Windows Server.Sorry to point you in so many different directions!
