XP will not boot in safe mode or at all
I have read previous posts and I did have a virus that was posing as an anti virus software. When I boot the screen goes black. In safe mode it hangs at isapnp.sys. I have checked the windows/system32 folder for the .sys file with 0kb and I have none. I am wondering if the registry is bad. Does it load the registry in safe mode before the isapnp.sys file? It seems as if removing that file has helped everyone else but like I said it is gone already... So if your up for a challenge give me a hand.. I would really appreciate it

For the best possible response you should post your query in a Windows XP newsgroup. This one supports Vista where things are just a little bit different than they are in XP."talonpart" wrote in message news:Email removed for privacy...I have read previous posts and I did have a virus that was posing as an anti virus software.
