Whenever I print to the shared printer on my Windows 7 desktop, the print job will just sit in the print queue. If I stop and then start the print spooler, the job will print. It happens both from an XP laptop and a laptop running Windows 7 (home premium). And it happens to both a shared hp laserjet (1020) and an hp all-in-one (psc model). Print jobs sent from the local Windows 7 computer print just fine.
