XP infected the same problem which started in win 7
before i installed win 7 my internet was working fine in XP.after i install win 7, win 7 internet wasnt working fine. ~10mins after com starts the internet will dc and it says local access only (but other nodes in the network can access the internet, so not router issue)so deleted win 7 partition, win xp kind of "infected" the same problemany help?

I am not sure about the Win7 disconnect issue but I have found that when I use either Vista or Win7 when I change back to XP on the same physical computer, the router seems to "remember" the IP and mac address it assigned via DHCP, so you cannot get back on with the same computer with XP for a while. Rebooting the router should do the trick although I have for some reason had problems even with a router reboot. When I have tried rebooting the router to no avail, the only thing I have found that works for me is to change the IP address of the XP computer to fixed and leave it that way for a day or two.
