XP automatic system restore not working
For some reason my XP pro OS system restore is not automatically creating restore points also something is causing manually created restore points to be deleted. I dont know what is causing this. I went into system properties and made sure the system restore off box was cleared.I have the disk space set to the max. I have plenty of RAM. Hi, Follow the procedures below:Restart the computerPress F8Select safe modeClick Start, click Run, type: % systemroot% \ system32 \ driversand then click OK.On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.Click on the View tab.Select the option Show hidden files and folders.Check the Hide extensions for known file typesSelect the option Show hidden files protected operating system files (recommended).Find the file Hptpro.sys.Clicking the right mouse button and then delete.Restart computerTry creating a restore pointI await your response.
