XP Security pop up warnings
I have anti-virus running and in the last few days I get messages from XP Security telling me the computer is at risk. When I try to disable the pop ups it just takes me to a screen where I can buy protection, which I do not need. I have scanned the computer and there are no threats but to be safe I loaded the essentials. How can I get rid of the xp shield and the pop ups that I am in danger. They are very annoying and there must be a way to turn them off. again. I followed some instructions on how to, but the selections were not there. Just took me to the page to buy the protection.1 person needs an answerI do too

This is a rogue security program that pretends to find infected files on your computer and tries to get you to pay for the program. Don't do it! To close its window, click red "X" in the title bar at the top of the window or press Alt-F4 on the keyboard.
