XP SP3 messed up my file/folder timestamps
After I installed SP3 yesterday, all files and folders I create or save changes to claim to have been created on the same date but in 2007 and 8 hours later in the day than the current time. For example, a folder created now (7/29/2010, 11:28 a.m. Central US, GMT -6:00) will have a Date Modified of 7/29/2007, 7:28 p.m.My clock and calendar are correct, but the timestamps on the files and folders are not. I tried installing a recommended update and restarting the computer, but that didn't correct the problem. The only hotfix I could find pertains to computers where the clock and calendar are not displaying the correct time and date, so I don't want to us it since that's not the problem.Any help would be appreciated. I know a little about computers, but I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, so if you can help in plain English, you will have my undying gratitude. Thanks!1 person needs an answerI do too
