In order to connect to a WPA2 encrypted wireless networks, you need both software (XP sp3 can do it) and hardware. The wireless adapter in your laptop probably isn't capable of handling WPA2. Assuming that the wireless adapter is built-in, what is the make and model of your laptop? If the built-in adapter in your laptop can't handle WPA2, you can buy one that does. If your laptop has a free USB2 port, you can get a USB adapter. If your laptop only has USB1, you're probably better off with a PC-Card adapter, although these are getting harder to find. Lem

Start here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=453287and follow the links for your system. Look up your wireless adapter using Device Manager (where you can also determine the name/rev of the current driver). If it's correct for your system, the "Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver" Rev.4.00C (1 June 2005) says that it includes WPA2 support. -- Lem
