XP CPU usage is High with no visible reason
I am running Windows XP, SP2 and am getting 100% CPU usage periodically. I have scanned with different softwares for viruses and malware. I have removed several items from the startup but nothing works. It started to happen with an Update I did a week ago.Even IE7 ramps up the CPU to 100%.
I have scoured the forum for an answer.
What else can I try?1 person needs an answerI do too

Press ctrl + alt + del to open task manager. Press the Process tab and find out which process have high cpu usage and tell me.
