XP BSOD and reinstall killed ethernet controller
XP gave me a BSOD and after three professionals failed to solve it we had to reinstall XP, wiping everything I had. THAT'S JUST FABULOUS. After an XP reinstall I now have 'no ethernet controller' and/or no drivers, and the OS and Application CDs apparently don't have them either (I did both 'search automatically' and 'install from a list or specific location' to no avail. Tools/Internet Options/Connections/Setup or LAN Settings fails also. Downloaded the proper driver to another PC on a thumbdrive but attempting to install it tells me 'Can't find the program that created it' and wants to go online to find it (which I can't). About to go Mac or Linux on this thing. Anyone? I thought the XP install CD had all of that junk on it- it didn't have this problem the FIRST time XP was installed.2 people need an answerI do too

Well a Mac or Linux aint going to fix a PC that may have a hardware problem. You need drivers supplied by your PC maker
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now
